Perhaps you may relate to the feeling that you desire and want to expand. Maybe you feel stuck but didn’t know how or even what to do to shift. That was me!
Then it happened. While it all seemed awesome (and it was most of the time), living my G.I. Jane life, I was angry and foggy. It happened. I was pulled out of my sophomore year of college to go to war. I hadn’t signed up for this, no one did in 1999. This major life experience was my coming of age and the beginning of my journey. I was angry that I came back to college with clueless peers. While they partied, I graduated in 3 years. I felt foggy and was unclear on how to be with myself and the world around me because I couldn’t seem to move forward powerfully.
Then it happened again! Another major life occurrence happened for me. I stepped away from a toxic relationship with the man I thought would be my partner for life. I was so wrong! I also was responsible for allowing such an unhealthy relationship to last for so long. I learned to love myself and how to break the cycle of toxic relationships during a period of 5 years! I did not have clarity in regards who I wanted to attract into my life and further, this lack of clarity created what I had in front of me.
Then it happened again! Another major transition happened when I was deployed to Africa. This felt like the battle of my life in what was an extreme leadership challenge and left me depressed and withdrawn.
Then it happened again, in August of 2020 I had to have emergency surgery and had my breast implants removed as a result of my health crisis. Just when I thought I was in this amazing flow with my life, this thing would happen for me. For the first time, I wasn’t foggy or unclear of my purpose because of my mindful practices and the support that kept me positive. This huge medical emergency would powerfully help me connect to my body and make healthy decisions to come closer to alignment with my best self.
All of these things that happened for me, brought me to fall into resilience as a mindset. This is the story of a woman on her journey, who is bringing as many women with her on this adventure towards love, community, and self-actualization. Does this resonate with you? Are you ready to step into your power? Are you ready to find clarity and purpose and use your ambition as your superpower?
I have been on a journey of personal growth for about sixteen years. Perhaps you may relate to feeling that you desire and want to expand. Maybe you feel stuck but didn’t know how or even what to do to shift. That was me!
My awakening and journey all began in 2003. At 21-years-old, I was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq to chronicle Operation Iraqi Freedom as a journalist and as a citizen Soldier. My military career, a 20-year experience has created five deployments and many blessed opportunities to practice resilience. I have experienced the world as few people have.
I fell into resilience as a mindset and at the same time, I also experienced large doses of fogginess. I knew that all of these experiences were given to me to create a life beyond me. My first experiences with transformational personal development and working a life coach changed my life forever. I learned how to move beyond the fog and shadows and into connection.
I knew that all of these experiences were given to me to create a life beyond what I could imagine. My first experiences with transformational personal development and working with a life coach changed my life forever. I learned how to move beyond the fog and shadows and into connection.
I learned ways of being that would create the results that I wanted. If you fast forward to 20 years later, I am in constant curiosity about how I get to create the best version of myself and how I can support brilliant leaders to live in their purpose and impact the world around us.

Part of my journey has been to learn how to find balance and how to find how to tap into my highest self. I have found that finding mindfulness practices has been my secret weapon. Through journaling, meditating, and practicing positive communication, I have found ways to get the results that I desire within myself. This has made all the difference in my relationship with myself.
I am continually growing in self-awareness. This is an on-going process. To be honest, there are days when I experience my self-awareness and also the gap in knowing and yet still reacting or feeling a certain way, though I know better. Has that ever happened to you? Self-awareness is important because it allows me to grow and develop my strengths and be attuned to the areas that I am growing in. I believe metacognition is also an important element of how we are able to grow in relationship to ourselves and in relationship to other people around us. It is this ability that we have to understand how we learn best and how we develop self-awareness to uncover our blindspots.
